I am going to get straight to the point: you’re happy the weekend is finally here so you can binge-watch Love Is Blind all over again. And who are we to judge? But while you make your way through the insanity that is that dating show, you will probably want to take some breaks and tune into some other things. This is where we come in, because, whether you use Amazon Video, iTunes, Vudu or your cable’s on demand service, there are a ton of new movies that just came out that will definitely cleanse your palate whenever you need it this weekend.
We cannot think of any movie genre that wouldn’t counteract the next-level crazy that is Love Is Blind, but these movies may do the trick. Fans of the cherished Jumanji franchise need not wait any longer for the latest — and most fun — installment yet: Jumanji: The Next Level. This comedy/action film brings back old favorites like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart, but the players and the avatars have mixed up once again. And to top it all off, they must now take on the personalities of comedy geniuses Danny DeVito and Danny Glover whose characters have also been sucked into the game. We cannot wait to see how they pull it all off. Besides Jumanji: The Next Level, you can also watch the biographical drama Richard Jewell, which recounts the July 27th Centennial Olympic Park bombing and how an initial hero is soon vilified by a twisted version of the true sequence of events. The movie was overall good and funny, but being from an Italian family I could not stand The Rock's accent. It switched to way too many different accents and did not stay consistently Italian. The Grandparents angle also got a bit old.
